If Rovio’s Amazing Alex looks familiar, there’s a very good reason. Rovio actually bought the rights for that excellent puzzler Casey's Contraptions, and reskinned and rebranded the sport into something having a bit more flash. While this isn’t a level-for-level clone, the gameplay is virtually identical. There is one major advantage Alex has over Casey though--you can in fact buy farmville. Rovio took Casey from the App Store immediately after buying the rights. Make of that what you should.

Angry Birds would be a great game, by sticking so identically towards the source material, Amazing Alex retains exactly the same fun, Rube Goldberg-inspired gadget puzzles. Alex is entertaining while offering plenty of levels, and it also comes with the creation kit immediately. The game comes complete with 100 levels, offering a range of pipe, shelf, balloon, and ball puzzling gameplay.

Another concern is the uneven difficulty and pacing. The first group of levels feels as though an extended tutorial, that is fine for newcomers. Fans of Casey or even the Incredible Machine, however, will discover it somewhat tedious to need to breeze through 16 levels before a hint of challenge starts. Beyond that, because the levels progress, one puzzle may be mind-numbingly challenging, as the very next is simplistic again.

Unlike the iPad-only Casey’s Contraptions, amazing alex walkthrough can be quite cross-platform. The game can be obtained on the iPad, iPhone, as well as Android devices. This deluge of cross-platform madness is particularly great because players should never be at a loss for brand new content.
